Role Overview
As our Product Manager, you’ll be the key link between our users, business vision, and development team. You’ll drive the product roadmap, ensuring that we build features that truly resonate with our audience and align with our mission. You’ll work closely with founders, designers, engineers, and community managers to create digital experiences that strengthen social interactions and foster online and offline engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with the CEO to align the product vision with the company vision.
- Own a product strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with our social impact goals.
- Prioritize and manage the product backlog, balancing user needs, technical feasibility, and business impact.
- Conduct community and user research to understand our audience and translate insights into meaningful product features.
- Collaborate with engineers and designers to develop intuitive and engaging user experiences.
- Facilitate agile development processes, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and user story creation.
- Continuously test, iterate, and optimize features based on user feedback, analytics, and engagement metrics.
- Champion a human-centered design approach, ensuring our product fosters inclusivity, trust, and positive social interactions.
- Identify emerging trends in social tech and digital communities to keep our platform innovative and relevant.
- Communicate product progress, priorities, and vision to stakeholders, including leadership and investors.
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role, ideally in a social tech, community-driven, or impact-focused startup.
- Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, and Lean methodologies.
- Experience with user research, community engagement, and data-driven decision-making.
- Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, and community managers.
- Passion for social impact, digital communities, and ethical technology.
- Hands-on experience with product management tools (JIRA, Trello, Notion, Prod Pad or similar).
- Analytical mindset with experience using user analytics tools to measure engagement and retention.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, adaptable, and startup-ready mindset.
Nice to Have
- Experience in social networking, online communities, or digital engagement platforms.
- Understanding of behavioral psychology, UX research, or gamification principles.
- Previous experience in a mission-driven startup or tech-for-good initiative.
- Some familiarity with AI-driven recommendations, content moderation, or trust & safety in digital platforms.
